Uzbek Metallurgical Plant JSC
“Uzbek Metallurgical Combine” is the leading enterprise of ferrous metallurgy in the republic. Over the years of Uzbekistan’s independence, the company has been developing dynamically, increasing its capacity every year. The Uzbek Metallurgical Combine Joint Stock Company was put into operation on March 5, 1944. The plant is in close relationship with all other enterprises, therefore, the development of ferrous metallurgy in the Republic of Uzbekistan is a priority national task of the current stage of economic development. In April 2017, with the participation of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a foreign investor, LLC “Toshkent Metallurgiya Zavodi” was created to implement the investment project “Construction of the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant”. This plant has become one of the largest and most modern industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan.
The main purpose of the construction of the plant was to provide the consumer market with metal products capable of competing with manufacturers from near and far abroad, which in turn will allow domestic manufacturers of the construction industry and other industries to seriously reduce their costs.
The combine has in its structure:
- An electric steelmaking shop
- Variety rolling shop
- Ball rolling shop
- Workshop for the production of non-ferrous metals
- Workshop for the production of thermal insulation materials
- Workshop for the production of consumer goods
- Coping shop
- Branches of the management of “Ikkilamchikorametallar” JSC “Uzmetkombinat”
- Shop for the production of ferroalloys
The plant produces:
- Rolled products and grinding balls of different grades
- Products made of copper and its alloys (of different grades)
- Ferroalloys
- Thermal insulation materials
- Consumer goods (enameled tableware)
- Liquefied and gaseous argon, nitrogen, oxygen
- High-resistance coke
