The Committee on Geology carries out on a system basis adoption of modern high technologies and equipment for geological exploration, and also takes timely measures for modernization and technical retooling of the enterprises and the institutions within the jurisdiction of the Committee on Geology.

The State Committee for Geology analyzes the geological knowledge of the territory of Uzbekistan, taking into account regional geological studies and the degree of updating of existing cartographic bases with new materials from state geological surveys and the results of other studies.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 21, 2021, N PP-5083 “On additional measures to actively attract investments in the field of geology, the transformation of industrial enterprises and expanding the mineral resource base of the republic” the «Uzbekgeoexploration» JSC was created for servicing geological exploration works within the framework of state programs for the development and reproduction of the mineral resource base of the republic by merging geological expeditions.
