SE “Institute of mineral resources”
The purpose of the institute is to develop science-based recommendations for increasing the efficiency of geological exploration of the earth’s depths, to allocate promising areas for mineral resources, to conduct a complex of laboratory and technological research and consulting services on the development of optimal regulations for the enrichment (processing) of minerals.
The main areas of research:
- Comprehensive regional study of the earth’s depth and preparation of modern multi-purpose geological and prediction-metallogenic maps, including the use of modern methods and technologies of remote sensing of the Earth and GIS-technologies
- Assessment of the potential of promising areas for finding solid mineral deposits using modern analytical equipment and software, and the separation of new areas, studying the mineralogical composition of mineral deposits
- Analysis of the country’s development dynamics and monitoring of the mineral-raw material base
- Development and application of modern technologies for complex processing of mineral raw materials and extraction of precious metals (gold, uranium, tungsten, rare earth elements, manganese, iron, shale, etc.)
- Publishing activity (geological magazine, monographs, books), training of highly qualified personnel (basic doctoral training, personnel qualification improvement)
